This plot is basically Cael is the usual ML and Hes is the FL. As in Hes is chasing Cael, doing whatever she can for him and, (accidentally) dropping hints of her love for him. While Cael on the other hand is trying to wrap his head around this new found and unexpected love, leading Hes constantly on and, delaying a real answer. So basically every Romance story and honestly I'm loving it, MLs deserve some chasing too (Mainly Cael tho, especially when they were technically second MLs with tragic ends)
