Sumire's manga / #twisted(19)

A broken man in many ways, is the main character Chris. The ugliness he feels about himself starts to poison all those around him, until a doctor, mourning the loss of his wife and son, is willing to wade through the darkness to find the one beautiful thing inside. A hard read, as it's very difficult to feel sympathy for the way that Chris acts, despite his horrible past, and his twisted relationship with his son Alex.

A complex story of love (or more like co-dependence) between a Yakuza and a piano player. While the artist is not noted for complex facial expressions on her characters, this story is interesting, and you find yourself hoping for a happy ending.

The first story arc about the priest is dark, sad and yet redeeming. The second story "Hana" is so sweet, and beautiful in it's sentiments. I am really in awe of this author's storytelling. Feeding both mind and heart. Worth reading.

Beautiful art, but oddly only hetero sex scenes. Twisted, sad plot.
