this is actually a lot better than i thought it’d be. honestly, so many things have changed since the first chapter that it doesn’t even feel like the same story anymore, lol. not that it’s a bad thing! it’s a pleasant change if you ask me. it’s just something i noticed! i probably would’ve given this manhua a 4/5 star rating if the translations hadn’t dropped in quality roughly 100 chapters in. it’s quite a shame, really… but still, the story’s enjoyable nonetheless! but definitely not as much as before, i’ll say that much. anyway!!! you definitely gotta appreciate the character development here. so many changes, bro… most of them good, though. because of that, i have noooo idea whatsoever about how things’ll end up for these guys. sheesh… i just hope the ending will make sense. (honestly, i don’t expect much.) but hey, at least this is fun. ;) edit: oh, and i forgot to mention that i’m consequently reading the original light novel while awaiting updates. it’s RIDICULOUSLY long, but it’s kinda fun. #yolo

not as trashy as i thought it’d be. and no toxic slash abusive relationship between the two mains, so that’s a huge bonus in any manhua! it’s mostly dialogue, though. lots of repetitive plot lines and characters, too… it’s all about vengeance, vengeance, vengeance. it’s tedious. anyway, i’ll be continuing nonetheless! mainly because i don’t mind it all, plus it’s a completely stress-free read for me, and that’s always a nice change of pace!!! i probably would’ve quit if the chapters weren’t as short as they are, lol. then it would’ve simply been bothersome to keep reading.

i actually quite like this one! although the plot’s become overall tedious over these past 60-80 chapters or so, which is a shame… kinda miss how the dynamic used to be at the start… or even during the first 100 or so chapters. now they’re just dragging things out without aim or purpose. can’t really figure out what the plot even is anymore. i thought this was meant to be a body-switching, gender bending story with school life being the baseline, as well as rich CEO romance privileges, pro-gaming skills and childish drama being at the center of it all? where’d all that prepubescent, wonky af joy go? c’: even so, i’ll probably finish this one either way. i rarely find manhua i genuinely enjoy reading, so that’s always a good sign—even though this one’s still very much questionable in lots of different aspects, lol. (on should never expect realism in chinese comics, you guys.) but, i guess we’ll have to wait and see!! i hope they bring some of that weird gender bender, catch-me-if-you-can dynamic back eventually. there’s no progress at all anymore (!!!) and even though the characters’ve always been somewhat ‘flat’, purposeless and boring, they’re even more so now than before. i need some drama back in the picture already!!! there hasn’t been anything exciting doing on for soooo long now. i don’t even care what it is at this point; i usually don’t particularly enjoy unnecessary drama, so this is a new one for me, lol. anyway, i’m dragging this out way more than i originally intended to. i might just reread this whole thing to see if i can bring some of those semi-nostalgic feelings of excitement back to life. but who knows, bruh… heh, i’ll stop. why’d you even read this far??? edit: i’m literally 200 chapters in and NOTHING EXCITING’S HAPPENING ANYMORE?!?! feels like we’re stuck in limbo without development or any kind of action whatsoever. ughhhh. come on, now… give me something. edit #2: 50 chapters later and my opinion still stands, lol. ZERO development whatsoever. edit #3: meh, i take it back. shit just got real, bro!!! and real quick, too. this is definitely an interesting change of pace... i’m exited about the fact that we’re FINALLY starting to focus more on the romantic aspect of things over the whole gaming ordeal! i’ve been waiting foreverrrr. this is what i’m here for! now, i’m beginning to find more reasons to look forward to these updates once again. <33

well, this one’s been interesting!!! it’s been so long since i actually read this frequently… but the last chapter was suddenly released out of nowhere, so i guess it’s time to wrap things up. i don’t really know what more to say, honestly… just know that i’m pleased with the overall outcome! i’m happy they’re happy; even though the road to get there was pretty damn rough. even though the general atmosphere was somewhat grim and depressing, the characters themselves felt unique… and surprisingly funny at times. ugh, they’ve grown so much!!! i just hope that they’ll be able to find solace in each other in the future as well.

bruh... i don’t think i have the words to express how i feel about this one. for starters, i’m completely split. on one hand, the characters were both SUPER. FUCKING. SHITTY. initially, and they behaved accordingly for quite some time, too. they treated each other like trash, taking out their anger and insecurities on each other—especially our ML who repeatedly RAPED our main girl—and they certainly didn’t know about the contemporary art of communication, so that was incredible frustrating. all throughout, i just kept thinking about how they could’ve avoided literally EVERYTHING that happened if they’d only talked to each other. just one conversation could’ve been enough!!! even a question or a longing look probably would’ve done the trick just the same. whatever. ughhhh!!! so many wasted years for such bullshit reasons… and so many unnecessary tears in the process, man. i was so ticked off, i’m telling you! fucking hell. but, here’s my dilemma: once they actually started to open up to each other and laid all the cards on the table, their WHOLE dynamic switched and they instantly became this sweet, loyal, wholesome couple. and i understood it, because it made sense given the context and their (previously) unspoken dedication towards each other. i can’t believe i’m actually saying this, but i was genuinely shipping them by the end of things—despite everything. i just figured, if both of them could move forward despite all the shit they put each other through, why can’t i? in the end, they’re happy. (clearly.) so, it’s whatever… but yeah. i originally gave this a 3 star rating—SOLELY because of their respective character development and initial admiration for their devotion to each other, but now i feel kinda weird about it; almost as if i’m promoting domestic violence and abusive relationships—which i don’t support or condone, AT ALL. aaaand, it’s even worse knowing how shitty of a story this truly is at its core; therefore, it definitely doesn’t deserve 3 stars. (not even close.) i ended up giving it 1/5 stars in the end. i feel it makes the most sense overall. anyway. i’m rereading this on bilibili comics, and the manhua’s pretty damn censored there. thinking i’ll just reread it over here instead to fully grasp all the abuse she suffered through... sheesh.
