I Thot You Was a Toad's manga / #cats(5)

Sentimental Garden Lover

Complete | OGURA Muku | 2008 released

A stray cat who lives in the garden of a gay man who is being abused by a brutal partner, asks the moon to change it into a man so it may protect the one he loves. Another sweet kitty begs for the ability to convey feelings of love from the man he loves to the man's former lover. Stories that are so sweet and pure, they cuddle up and purr.

Suteneko no Karute

Ongoing | Halco | 2008 released

Two short stories: the first about a man who has been dumped so many times, he feels like an abandoned cat and is afraid to love again. The second is about a man who was cruelly used by someone he loved. Both stories are very heartwarming, sweet and full of kindness.

Hachimitsu Darling

Complete | AKIRA Norikazu | 2008 released

Chihiro finds no satisfaction in his life as a part-timer until, on a whim, he saves an abandoned cat and needs to bring it to a vet. The vet confronts him on his fecklessness, which Chihiro meekly accepts, and as a result, finds himself working as a housekeeper/assistant at the vet's pied-a-terre and clinic. One thing leads to another ... Like most of Norikazu's stories, the story and uke are cute and she doesn't hold back on the sex scenes. Nice clean drawings and handsome bishies. In this case, a grumpy bear of a seme spices things up.

Nirameba Koi

Complete | yukue moegi | 2013 released

Ryuunosuke doesn't just have a Sanpakku stare, it's a downright murder glare and it's a source of utter fascination for Shima, who thinks it makes him look like more of a cat than a yakuza or punk. That sanpakku look causes a lot of problems for Ryuunosuke, who won't back down against belligerent strangers. The question is whether the stare is all there is to that trouble. Yukue Moegi's artwork bears a strong resemblance to Suzuki Tsuta's.

Focus (nishi Noriko)

Complete | nishi noriko | 2014 released

A gay photographer from Tokyo lands on a small island with a tight-knit community and promptly falls for a straight professional photographer with his own studio. So far this is an excellent story about the limitations imposed by customs and fearfulness.
