Tateno Makoto uses the rape-trope in a traditional manner, to circumvent impossibly striated class barriers and same-sex gender barriers. The set-up involves Preston falling into the hands of Clouder, but this is a very traditional romance period piece, so the matter of force is resolved by a timely declaration by Clouder, and the realization, by Preston, that he offers a happier and more liberated way of life. After that, it becomes a matter of choice.
Like the Barren Wasteland
