Datte Maou-sama Wa Kare Ga Kirai
Sex battle between the Demon King and the Hero, who are like a switched-at-birth idiot couple.
Sugar Code
Hero or sponge? Akira spots Oodoi being a hero and, afterward, collapsing from exhaustion. Impressed, he brings him home to nurse him back, and discovers a less fragrant and freshly pressed side to him. In spite of witnessing and, even, being on the receiving end of Oodoi's heroism, Akira remains skeptical. Oodoi isn't exactly forthcoming either. So much drama and comedy that could've easily been avoided with a little communication and less plot.
Koi wa Ina Mono Myouna Mono
Tamura has the gift of prescient dreams, but one of these dreams is more like a curse because it is an explicit sex dream and his future lover is a man. What happens when this fated lover, Seiwa, shows up at Tamura's school? Hilarious and, in spite of the comedy, mature and goodnatured. I love Tamura's family and friends.
Hima na no de Hajimete Mimasu.
Ikusen no Yoru
A slow-developed love story transpiring over childhood into the twenties with very painful moments. Some aspects are so realistic and gripping, I was completely absorbed, but others were so out-of-the-blue flaky, they left me wondering why they were there at all. I also felt the resolution glossed over the pain of those betrayals. Anyway, this manga isn't cute, adorable and fluffy, although one of the characters has those tendencies in childhood (why would anyone tag it like that? Just because it had a traditional happy ending doesn't make the story structure less traumatic.) And it CERtainly isn't a comedy, but it does deal with growing up and moving from wide-eyed trust and dependence into self-reliance, strength and awareness. That saves the rest and makes it worth a read, but I think if you're expecting sweetness and light, this is going to be a bitter one. Most heartbreaking moment: "When I was young, we had a dog" (Thinks) "And I violated it."
Katappashi Kara Zenbu Koi
Iwami and Takaoka are a classic idiot couple, until Takaoka presses the issue. I love the art. The story has a very earthy approach, especially with Iwami's sisters, and that third chapter is perfect.
Concierge No Koibito
Smutty oneshot about college student, Hinata, who is stunned to learn that his good friend, the popular and handsome Yuuma, has been harbouring a secret crush on someone for ages and has never shared this juicy tidbit with him. Determined to acquire experience so he can be Yuuma's "Rock", Hinata accepts a casual date then asks Yuuma how to go on one. Classic idiot couple romance.
