One of the most realistic and bittersweet manga I’ve ever read. Even after everything they’ve gone through, especially the poor Uke, I can’t believe he only lived until 52. With all the shit that life has handed him, I was hoping they’d make it to 90s together, hand in hand, but the overall vibe of this manga is just one big tragic happiness. At least they ended up being family, with loving parents and supportive friends. But the tragedy seems so realistic I almost wish it was sugarcoated a bit more just for satisfaction

Right person wrong time. High school ex lovers reunited in college when the Seme decided to pursue liberal arts just in hope of seeing his ex again because he regretted the way they broke up. Their love runs deep, and they have supportive friends and family, and the story is a realistic emotional rollercoaster of two people growing up while trying to figure out how to stay together

The topics in this manga were all too much to handle. Incest, pedophilia, rape, blackmail, etc. Not one likable character, though I guess they all achieve happy ending. Morality somewhat put the window with this one

Seme is a low-time exorcist. He can see spirits but does not really exorcise them. Uke was born with the mermaid mark and eye because his mother drank mermaid bones to stay alive. He was treated like shit by everyone until a kind hearted tattooist took him in, tattooed over his scales to make them even more beautiful, and told him to live for he is his masterpiece.

Playboy falls in love with the devoted and persistent uke. Low rating most likely due to their slightly abusive relationship since the Seme is so possessive

EDIT: Sequel is INSANELY good. Prequel is about the Uke sorting out his feelings and sequel focuses on the seme Dialogue and pacing were confusing. Wonder if it’s due to bad translation or that’s just how it is Katsuragi, an elite office worker who fell from a perfect life, drunkenly attempted to jump and commit suicide. Suddenly, he was helped by a mysterious man, Yoda, but that was the beginning of a horrible life of confinement training... Adapted into live action.
