Ch. 1: Deep in the mountain range, lives a clan that coexists with wolves. Children with black hair are called a Wolf and children with white hair, although rarely born, are called a White Hart. A White Hart is a symbol of prosperity, and these children are obligated to marry into the Royal Family. Sara was born a a White Hart, and from young, had feelings towards his companion, Alexis, the King's son. But he wants to be helpful towards him not just with being a White Hart and with the librarian's help starts to study for the officer exam when the King's mistakenly thinks that he has feelings for the librarian.
Ch. 2: A guy's parents died and is adopted into a friends house that has a son around the same age where the parents die afterwards because they were too poor to buy medicine. Years later he is taking the exam to be an officer and is doing small jobs to earn money so he can make the neighbor kid he loves be happy and that they can be partners.
