....honest opinion time usually I'm quite happy when I do one of these but I'm doing this cuz this one deserves an honest opinion time ahem anyways this is a lot more depressing than I thought it would be I thought that'd it be a nice soft read but no it was so depressing every time I took a break my head was just filled with it...that story as a whole is amazing it genuinely deserves so much but I'm gonna get into the characters now let's start off with our protagonist Ethan now this boy has gone through so much so much and it genuinely pained me to read what his character went through and how he handled himself dear god I felt so empty reading this it just kept making me feel increasingly terrible on each chapter and it hurt but it made me so so oh so happy when he opened up Jimmy he must've felt so much better finally trusting and relying on someone...Jimmy is best boy btw even though they said they would tell his past they skipped it that part felt unfinished to me but to me for this particular read it felt like theyre in their own little world where Jimmy told Ethan bout his past and my imagination will make do with that. Jimmy has his own problems but he found happiness with Ethan and that makes me so happy genuinely I wish them the best istg this is making my heart sting cuz I'm genuinely so sad rn and idk what to do. Ethan's father...I despise him so much I can't forgive him he deserves to rot in hell. Anyways the side characters were beautifully done for some reason I just think they are and that's all I have to say the story speaks for itself. 10/10 do hope they put a tag where it says tragedy tho cuz this was depressing af
