Since I've discovered this is an abuse cliche not the typical actually harmless trope, I don't understand the necessity for trash like him at all. And, unless one is asking why the author wrote it like that instead of the more likely meaning about why the MC didn't just avoid it herself, what I would like to ask in turn to that type of question is how was she supposed to get out of the wedding the second time when she was getting ready to walk down the aisle when she first woke up in this timeline, she thought she was dreaming at first and lastly skipping the wedding would not only make her persona non grata but also put a bounty on her head very likely.
