So that's why I suddenly lost weight

Mahoroba No Hibi

Complete | hirama mitsunaga | 2000 released

First story is about *spoilers* a cat who died and kept lingering around his owner which ends with him finding peace now that he knows that his owner has good friends who will stay by his side for better or for worse, and will stand up to those who'll be against him. Much love for friends like that~ While it kinda bothered me with the "even if it's a different type of love" (i mean, wth does that mean?) I found it sweet and sad. I miss my dead cats :( The next story is a one-shot about a couple breaking up where the "receiver" (of the break-up message) didn't bother talking it out with his partner due to frustration. A stranger, a seemingly schoolmate/classmate, then talks to him and convinces him to talk it out in order to have no regrets. This stranger is revealed to be the spirit of the cat, still lingering around his owner who is now a teacher. He still can't see him though - and just dismisses the feeling that the cat is still with him which is nice but sad? idk why I even think of it as nice. The third story shows the pure love between a man and a tree spirit. Nothing sexual or anything, just pure love of wanting to stay together. The fourth story is about the man's nephew trying to discover who/what his uncle is in love with, and him accepting that he has lost against the tree spirit - who is so freaking nice to show him their precious memory of promising to be together.

Mote Papa to Dakaretai Junjou Koushi

Complete | Kasui | 2018 released

Ooooohhh, is Japan starting to acknowledge different sexual orientations? I rarely see bisexuality mentioned in bl (it's always "a straight dude who fell in love with a man") I love how the story handled the seme's bisexuality - no one is undermining him for that, and he even opened it up to his wife before they got married. Story-wise, however, it's... boring. The only thing carrying the story is Yuuto (the child) and the bisexuality issue. The uke is fine. His interactions with Yuuto is cute. But he's not communicating his feelings well for the seme either. The seme is trash when it comes to his lovelife. While this has always been mentioned in the story, the seme never improved when he was supposed to ("that's why i'm seducing you" like what, where? when? am i blind? did i miss a chapter?). There's also a random extra story in the middle. It's cute, but the dialogues are messy (can't tell who's talking sometimes, or maybe I'm just sleepy). Plus it's really out of nowhere. I thought it'd be related somehow.

Yoru wa Tomodachi

Complete | IDO Gihou | 2010 released

Sometimes the dialogues are confusing (who's saying what). The story isn't as confusing though. The story simply came off bland to me (mostly because of the dialogues and the characters). I like the realistic touch of how to be in a relationship where your kinks are different, and only one party enjoys. Also, how not understanding your partner's kink properly may result to harm.

This Ending

Complete | Gwa-in | 2000 released

It's good, but the pacing is a bit... Off? And the ending isn't satisfying knowing that ch 17.xx are just extras, so ch 17 should've been more conclusive with ch 17.xx are just add-ons/epilogue - unless the uploader named them incorrectly. Though I'm okay with having no reassurance that they'll stay together forever (I mean that's the point, they never saw the future coming), but them reconciling was anticlimactic.

Life Senjou no Bokura

Complete | TOKOKURA Miya | 2016 released

This is a rollercoaster of emotions, not that extreme, but just the perfect touch. The cute start, to a growing relationship, then the sudden turn downhill until it finally reached its bottom and turn uphill again... Then another downhill but ultimately an uphill to heaven ;-; my kokoro

Escape Journey

Complete | OGERETSU Tanaka | 2015 released

As much as I love the story, it feels like I'm missing something between volume 1 and 2. I have no problems with volume 2, and on its own, I can rate it 10/10 without batting an eye. In volume 1, I do love how their toxic relationship was presented, the reason behind it, and how they still love each other despite it. It's just that they suddenly resolved the toxicity, and it wasn't shown in the manga (the seme's side mostly; the uke's side was shown, but it's the seme that's more toxic tbh). I'm okay with mangas leaving some details open to the readers' imaginations, but this one felt like a big gap. But oh well, I'm glad they changed for the better.

Complete | NAKAMURA Asumiko | 2018 released

The mom :'( I'm glad the dad found the mom's list of music to recommend which made him realize how much the mom loved Kusakabe as a son.

Ashita Asatte Sorekara Itsuka

Complete | ICHIKAWA Ichi,Ichikawa Ichi | 2017 released

What's the ex smoking? Duuuude, he's annoying as hell. Thanks to him for being a perfect plot device though, too perfect that the story wouldn't be the same without him and I ain't complaining about it. Doesn't stop me from wanting to throw him into the ocean though

Dekoboko Bittersweet Days

Complete | Yusen Atsuko | 2020 released

I totally didn't expect this kind of progress in the story. AND I LOVE IT. I would love more highlight on Umino and Take though. I hope there's a spin-off or smth
