I read this years ago and reread it again a couple years after that and yep I still hate it. I am so butthurt about the ending TO THIS DAY. I remembered this today and decided to publicly hate on it. Extremely cheap cop out that completely ruined the respect I had for this. Everything was going great! Really interesting plot line, super cerebral, and I was at the edge of my seat waiting to see how the main characters would come out the victor at the end. I honestly would’ve preferred if some crazed maniac randomly broke down the walls and just KO’ed everyone in the building. But noooo. The author had to spit on their work, crush it with their shoe, make their dog lick it up and sh*t it out, and then spit on it again. Maybe if it wasn’t so rushed I wouldn’t hate it so much but wow did that feel like I wasted my time for naught.

I understand why the ML is the ML but… Sylphid is always best boy in my heart.
