Not having emotions/feelings as a person who is only focused on revenge can only self sabotage his plans and create more enemy than neccessary. And if you read all of this chapter, you'll know that he deserves happiness after he achieved his revenge. I mean romance is actually not a bad thing, as long as it don't prevent him from achieving his goals. There is two love interest for the mc, but the story is not focusing on that right now. I don't even know who he will choose, and it's far from advancing.
