Form of Sympathy

Complete | Park Noduk,Park Nodeok | 2019 released

The previous series, for your love was a classic for me. However once i finally got around reading the sequel, Form of Sympathy, i love the prequel but i love this more. Their relationship felt so unbelievably real, it tackles topics that should be talked about more, and despite their age difference, Kwon Yuri even before this, Ive always found a bit more on the mature side but seeing more sides to him here made me adore him more (and I already adored him a lot before) plus TEACHER as a person who went through highs and lows you’ll rarely ever get to meet a teacher who is actually passionate for their job, and seeing his passion is just so heart warming because what kwon yuri said was right, a teacher who actually cares would leave a long lasting impact on the student. Aside from that, its true, while the start was super rocky, the way their relationship developed felt so true and raw. Their differences, their similarities, their situations, the way they had different forms of love made them feel so alive, they had their moments and their struggles, and the author did brilliantly in portraying those moments. Those moments developed into something more, something comfortable, something very real to both of the characters, and slowly becoming a safe space for them, away from the annoying anxiety giving eyes of society and the people around them. For them, so brokenly stuck in the past is finally looking at the present and smiling which is the most important part above all. Also, for those who are reading this story and is also struggling a lot, i hope you guys can see that you shouldn’t be burdening yourselves alone, because I seriously felt it holy fuck it just felt so real. Romance aside, this story showcases a brilliant display of emotions that are very extremely real in society, and the author brilliantly shows that sometimes, all you really need is a shoulder to lean on and an ear to rant on, and that emotions are fickle, complicated, but also, very simple. A story is good if it makes you realize things like these, and i consider this one of them. Love takes different forms, and here, it was formed in the matter of sympathy which developed into something more, something you can truly call love, a love that you can say you adore. And once you can say its “love” then there really isn’t nothing more to it.
