In all honesty, I am giving this a 5 star for very specific reasons and I was not expecting it all.
This is... honestly really messed up and tbh I’m glad they did got a “happy ending” together. Both of them deserves much better and deserves much worse, thats why if you think about it, they’re perfect together in a very messed up way. The toxicity, the insanity of their whole situation was handled so well by the author that yes, this relationship is so toxic and really unhealthy, but for certain individuals aka them, such insanity just works so well.
The lines “I love you the death” and “Let me love you” from the Epilogue 2 (35.2) and Epilogue 7 (35.7) just fells so... profound and complex, in a normal view, this whole situation is ridiculously uncomfortable, but in a literary view, this messed up love is honestly brilliantly written. You can’t just take out something that forced something in your life so bad because if it goes away you’ll end up chasing it, thats why I found it so brilliant that MC did not take such a revengeful (aka killing him) and I love how they didn’t give the stalker a backstory and that kind of stuff because that would honestly ruin the whole premise of this messed up love story.
In all honesty this game of them, both of them lost yet at the same time they got what i wanted. In the end each of their existence cemented itself in each other’s life that they’ll probably never be able to remove this whole ordeal in their lives and they’ll probably never leave each other’s shadow. They are... maybe a little perfect for each other at this point, everything the stalker has done and MC has accepted and done had already carved something too deep that it probably won’t be able to heal unless they got each other to fit right in. Thats why I really just find this brilliant, its so messed up but, it feels so odd if the ending they got was not that. This is a messed up game that both the stalker and the MC had made and played into and honestly? This is the best ending I can think of, if it ended up MC getting back his normal life and stalker going to prison or even worse, death, it just feels wrong.
The ordinary life that the MC led to transform into the messy, complex, toxic yet such a profound relationship after this whole ordeal... its hard to put into words but the game was certainly well played I really enjoyed this one.
