I have been reading this story for - I kid you not - TWENTY YEARS (I know, I'm an old lady TnT). I re-read it every two years or so, and out of the literally hundreds of yaoi I've read, this still remains my number one favorite. The romantic plot is wonderful, just wonderful; and the greater plot is even more brilliant. There are so many unexpected twists and connections throughout the story that constantly keep you engaged and wondering. Also the peripheral characters (especially Bikky and Carol ohmygosh) are super well-written with their own clearly defined personalities. Even though some characters are inserted as plot devices, they don't really read that way and still can hold their own. Overall it is such a good story and extremely well-written, and it has a huge special place in my heart.<3
