And he died unhappy and got a second chance at life. She needed to marry her to run away from her family, so that they can’t touch her. The family kidnapped her from the real family, she became “Helena” cause she was similar to a dead daughter of a mad wife of that family. But when she passed, she gave all her wealth to the fake daughter so she still couldn’t go back home. If she was to die before her 18th birthday, the money would go to church. So they closed her in the attic till then. Stepdad remarried, the fam was still cruel to her. When she was allowed to go to some ball she met the duke, she gave him back his tissue and he promised to repay her kindness.
