Man, I had forgotten how intense this story was, especially on Kuon's part. I don't know if this relationship is near harmful or not, but damn is it effective. In fact, I find it more impactful now than it was when I had read it years ago. I just freakin love this pairing. It's really hard to chose a favorite pairing in the Warui series (saga)? I'm still genuinely surprised that this series never got an anime; I think it's on par with something like Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, likely even better (that's just my tastes, though).
