Hana Yori Dango
One of my all time faves! It's pretty old but the art style improves, especially near the end. The romance is a long-burning type and you really feel it. These are characters that linger with me and I want to revisit all the time
Yume No You Na Hanashi
4 different couples are in this one. The first is about a secret office romance between a sadist seme and boss glasses uke who's kind of a wimp. The second couple is an age gap romance between the older bar owner (who used to date glasses uke) and the young bartender. The third is the unrelated "romance" between a cute sweet seme and an asshole cold bitch of an uke. Disliked this one a lot. The last couple was super cute. Seme devotes himself like a slave to the uke because of past family stuff, but when the annoyed uke pushes for more (thinking that it will drive the seme away), he finds out that the seme was in love with him all along. Seme is the pretty hot delinquent looking type.
Hatsukoi Counter Attack
Really cute art style but something about the dialogue was confusing. I had no idea what was really happening, if anything, for half of this first chapter. All I knew was that Misaki was offended by the new transfer student because he called him short and something to do with his name. Then you find out stuff about the transfer student that made this much more interesting. ETA: I read through this a second time and understood it a bit better.
Smells Like Green Spirit
I liked this but it was pretty depressing. Not sad enough to make me cry but definitely a downer. This is a slice of life story about a girly boy in the country who gets bullied by a group of guys in his school. One of the bullies is secretly gay too and they become good friends (I really disliked how his life ended, with him apparently still in the closet). One of the bullies has a crush on him and the bullied boy ends up with him and it's nice, though I wish they'd had him in the story more so you could see more development between them. There's also a kinda pitiful, secretly gay teacher that almost rapes the bullied boy. I say pitiful because of the mini chapters of him at the end show him as a kid falling in love with another boy and facing hate because of that and having to deny that part of himself, which is what makes him warped as an adult.
Jibun Katte.
Sexy, but man, do these boys have a dysfunctional relationship! Boy is frustrated because his childhood friend constantly comes between him and every girlfriend he's ever tried having. Then his friend snaps when he finds out that he's had a girlfriend for a month, even had sex, and never said anything. The main character sees what he thinks is his friend kissing another man and that's when the childhood best friend hatches the ultimate plan to come between him and his girlfriend. The best friend is kinda a bastard, very manipulative, definitely a tsundere minus the dere, and an unexpected uke.
Kirei ni Shiteyo
High school guy thinks people are troublesome and just wants to be left alone, so he turns himself into a delinquent looking guy to alienate himself more. He begins skipping class occasionally and relaxing around a particular tree, but one day he finds a janitor hanging out in his spot. They come to an agreement that they just want to be left alone and end up silently sharing the tree. But the delinquent guy ends up being bullied by older students anyway. One in particular seems to be in-the-closet attracted to him.
Teiou No Amai Wana
Sexy but idk..... I don't mind a sadist seme but only up to a point and the beginning of this manga pissed me off. If I found out I'd been hired to be a punching bag for someone, with no worth beyond that I would be so insulted! I did like it when the seme got jealous but still...
Mobius Strip
