Interesting but really freakin' sad! Guy returns to his hometown after being away in Tokyo for years, but he's pretty emotionally messed up still from the death of a friend he loved. He and another friend who liked him too get together and talk about their relationships and hook up with each other.

Oof, MY HEART! This is such an emotional read, I REALLY want it updated like ASAP! Hayato is haunted by guilt for telling people about how his best friend in middle school was in love with him, which led the boy to be bullied and attempt to kill himself. Then in high school when Hayato sees a boy named Souma on the school roof he gets scared and rushes to stop him. He gets to know the quiet, sad, alone Souma and draws him out of his shell more and more. But he's stunned when one day Souma confesses and in a confused, emotional mess gropes and kisses him. Hayato keeps his secret and becomes his biggest supporter, as part of a way to atone for the past. He lets Souma get physical with him partly because he doesn't want to reject him and partly out of confusion of his own feelings. Things are shattered though, when Souma brings home a friend from middle school and it turns out to be the guy that attempted suicide in middle school. Hayato tells Souma about what happened and their relationship goes through some serious drama. The art style to this was very nice and the story is so heartbreaking. I REALLY want more chapters!

This confused me so much when I first started it. Honestly, parts of it are still confusing. It’s about a complicated family of Kotadoma (sp?) who are hired to perform kinda spells to harm others using their words/voices. But there’s a backlash against them that hurts or can even kill them, so they use Kamisamas to transfer the pain to. Kamisamas are near immortal, easily healed being made of paper that look and act human and are usually the same sex as their Kotadoma masters. The Kamis are all made by Waki (who is human but mysteriously powerful and nearly immortal himself. He befriended the head of the family and protects his defendants through the years. The family Kotadoma/Kamisamas almost all have their own storylines, some of which are heartbreaking, like Himi and Asari’s (who actually die and are resurrected). This is a strange, long journey of a manga and took me some time to read through but was emotionally satisfying and I became fairly attached to most of the characters.

Nicely drawn but super depressing throughout. Too depressing for me. Akane is in a relationship with his dead twin brother’s lover. Keisuke (the lover) is at first using Akane to fill the void and Akane feels responsible for his brother’s death and is using Keisuke to absolve his sins. But they both come to terms with the fact that they both love each other now. Nice story, just not for me.

I'm going to regret reading this, I just know it. ZhiShu is diagnosed with cancer but is considering not taking the chemo because his long-running relationship is running it's course. His boyfriend, whom he supported and helped since they were young is gone all the time and cheating on him. His doctor is very nice and seems very invested in helping him beat cancer. I hope ZhiShu ends up with the doctor. Nice artwork in this story. ETA: just caught spoilers for this... not sure i'll continue reading this. I don't like bad endings and crying buckets :(
