He tries to deny the sense of betrayal so much so that he's become delusional. His coping mechanism is sad but it's more realistic this way. I was hoping this wouldn't be a tragedy covered up by romanticization but it seems like it will be. The plot itself is really good, I actually felt tense and a bit sullen reading it. Apart of me wants to see the main character die a quick and painless death, because even if he lives through what he has, he'll never be able to forget and he'll never find true peace. Maybe that's why this is so sad haha. I hope it actually goes somewhere after what happened and he doesn't develop Stockholm syndrome. (it seems he already has but it's not a complete factor, rather a coping mechanism or a sense of denial) but I will put my hope into this and pray it doesn't Edit: Despite the author clearly having the capability and talent to write a psychologically disturbing story it seems like they're all the same in the end. It's most likely going to be romantizated stockholm syndrome. Figures. I had high hopes for this but it's all the same. The stories of tragedy covered up by porn and romance that doesn't even make sense Chapter 22 yeah.. I hate this dude more than Griffith 39 this is SICK! Hardcore disgusting rape and abuse.
