It's tragic!!!!! They wasted so many years when they could've been friends!!
Its a abused-uke, save-the-uke, re-encounter plot. Two former friends/classmates had their relationship go from childhood friends, to bullying, to strangers. Finally, as adults, the seme wants to restabilish a relationship, while in the uke's home life, he deals with abuse in his life.
I've seen this kind of concept before, but this did not feel tired. I liked the character writing, specifically in the nuance found in the uke's character. His behavior felt complicated, not always pleasant but understandable. For example, he has been in the role of both bully to being bullied. I can understand the reason for his antisocial/ closed off disposition, and the reason he reacts the way he does to the seme. Poor thing feels hurt, and like he can't trust anyone.
Anyways, I'd really like if this updated!
