7/20/22: Read this before like in 2018 I think? It is a "save the prostitute" story. And boy does he need to be saved, like what a miserable character. Lots of hurt / comfort. This was compelling, but at the time, there were so many other prostitution stories out there, and I just felt fatigue from all the misery. These types of stories leave me a little cynical now, bc I almost find it a little cruel to set up all this misery for the character just to enable the romantic relationship. Just my general thoughts, but this one seemed good so i'd like to come back to it.

Hurt then Comfort dynamic

Highschool romance between a boy who is perceived as "ugly" by peers, & boy who is "beautiful". Comic makes commentary on the treatment of people based on appearances.
