I do belive from Chapter 33, when he had the dream, plus confirmed in Chapter 29 when he said, "I don't care about the gender; he must be mine," I knew how the trial was going to go because I truly believed him when he said it. The only thing the Witch didn't count on is how much the 3rd Prince came to like him, plus him thinking of all the ins and outs to get him out alive... it was the grief and guilt that came from the loss of many that the Witch wasn't expecting. I must say chpt 60 was beautiful especially for both couples. I do like the ending because the one who was fit to be king ran off and chose freedom with his lover over the crown, while the "harmless" prince ended up being a truly selfish and self-centered king who will eventually drive the kingdom into ruins.
