I understand the whole second chance and "if it's meant to be, it'll come back again" idea, but for once, I wish this story didn't end that way. Lauren didn't change and wasn't going to until Chip walked away first. You knew he was cheating and kept quiet, not because you were hoping for him to come clean, but instead, you were hoping that he would break things off first so you wouldn't have to come clean to his mother about who he was. Lauren isn't a good partner, but he could be a good friend, and that's how it should've ended. The only reason why Chip is in the wrong is because he should've left Lauren a long time ago, but he kept sticking it out, which only led him to be very lonely, isolated, unheard, unloved, unappreciated, and tempted to cheat that ALL could've been avoided if he listened to his friends and counselor.
