if i could rate this 10 stars, i definitely would! this is so perfect. i have read this for hours straight 'til my dad plugged out the wifi. the ending made me a lil emotional because dohui truly deserve a happy ending together with songjae. although i prefer the historical part, but it doesn't make the 21st version of their love any less perfect. i still can't let go of this manhwa i love everything about it, from the story, to the characters, to the plot, and ofc the sexy scenes, gahh so hot. i wonder what would happen to the third love couple afterwards. actually this is very rare case of mine when i like the main couple more than the side couple lol. i am not really interested to the second pair, they sure got a lot of screen time though. i just cant feel them. but all in all, i love them all, yeah. they make up the story after all... ... totally enjoyed the whole time im reading this. no doubt hereon, 'Haunted by Desire' must be one of my favorites now. this is just so beautiful, a 100000/10 and why does dohui and songjae have to be so good-looking. i cant help falling in deep and be absolutely smitten. /* dreamy sigh jan 3-4, 2023

finished reading this within one day! man, this manhwa/manhua is just so good. although as it was nearing it's ending, i felt like the story went a liiiil astray from the plot or it has lost its essence just as the conflict has been resolved. i also had a minor issue with soyoung and his distant attitude towards the emperor, but that's just about it, as the author showed a real humanly feelings, not just some of a 2D's (hehe i also dont get what im saying here but u know the idea). nevertheless, it was a good read, good story, plot, characters, art. i cant believe i was this patient to read a BL with only one smexy scene lol. april 23-24, 2023 9.8/10

uwaaa di ko pa natutubongan an rabbit quarter to 12 am naaa. the start of their romance was a bit fast-paced but let's overlook it 'cause the story is dang good. forget the plot holes and this and that questions, i honestly like this. err the girl and boy twins, a cliche, yall manhwa artists should stop this. i was invested reading this manhwa, tuloy-tuloy talaga di pa nga ata lumagpas 12 hours. interesting kasi plot. july 23, 2023 8.9/10 SUMMARY This is the story of two lovers, Jae Moon and Ji Yeon, fated for each other as a dragon is to its pearl. that was so beautiful *sob* especially the last chapter gahh it was so beautifully written i cannot stay still and go on without expression how this manga made me feel! the story, the art, their hot moments, everything.. is so good. it's realistic- from the situations, to reactions, to emotions, to their expressions- aaaaa i never knew I'd like it this much. perhaps, i miss this kind of good read, where there's no toxic issue between the characters, or rape, and morally disgusting acts. this aint cute nor wholesome in a way that would make readers go uwu and feel gooey inside, but it's like a read that makes you sigh and think how beautiful experience you've just read like you're in the story. hands down, good. how they just magnetically get drawn to each other no matter how many times and how look it took for them to be together again. sigh, so good. feb 19, 2024 9/10 #LoveInAmericanEarly1900s #NotSoUniqueLoveStoryConceptButFeelsLikeSomethingFreshAtTheSamaTime

this. THIS. IS. SO. FREAKIN. OVER THE TOP. GOOD. soo good like, it hurts so good, the angst and drama and all, but also get to have the Happy Ending?? may 4, 2024 10/10 TT w-wait im getting emotional TT ahem I've got two questions: why have i only came across this masterpiece?? why aren't people loud about this?? WHY? they'd rather hype a toxic shitty BL mangas/manhwas but not this.. oh my TT and why is there two uploaders? it messed up my reading experience! i thought that the best part to read in this kind of situation would be the last uploader/chapters and apparently,there was more chapters. so i read it and although i noticed there was numerous times of implied sexy time, there wasn't actually explicit scenes. but i still accepted it and loved the manhwa 'cause yeah, it was still so good. but then i was at chapter 57 when i remembered there was pictures of "scenes" in the profile but i dont remember ever reading familiar parts of the manhwa even though im all the way more than half of the chapters now. the story has what i was searching for after reading BL manhwas after manhwas after mangas and mangas, and so on. the story line is insane, man. how everything lined up for the desired ending blows me out. i am much more satisfied with this manhwa. im glad I'm able to read this. though pilgyeon's brother complex is really disturbing; what normal male person would even like their MALE brother, biological at that even if it's on father side. i initially felt bad 'cause he had to die that way. but his kind of love is really wrong. though i can see he really loves with all that he is, still, he shouldn't have insisted his feelings on someone who clearly doesn't want anything to do with them. however, upon knowing that he's alive and gas amnesia, i am simply glad he's able to forget the root of his wrong behaviors. and im utterly also satisfied of how he let the doll left to burn. i am not anticipating for the two brothers to stumbled upon each other again. i want them to find their happiness without hurting each other. as far the two main lead, i so love them. my man, Bongchon, although a beast in everything but a cotton at heart, made me want to have a gentle giant for myself as well. sooyeong really had that luck. i love sooyeong as well, seriously. i like his personality and also how he shows his admiration to the big guy. I'm glad the author really made them look they love each other even without saying they do. sooyeong shows and expresses that he likes it during "sexy time", which is rare as I've read so many mangas/manhwas and most of them still doesn't like even after years of relationship. ugh they're people, they feel things too. i heard men had their prostrate in there. I'm really happy for them:)
