I love the slow and natural pacing of the story and how the main character evolves into someone willing to be vulnerable for the person they love. For a long time, his feelings were unrequited; we find out alongside him that all he needed to do was tell them how he felt and ask for what he wanted. Learning to chase after his happiness, even though he felt like he may not deserve it, required a lot of courage from him. Due to the circumstances of their encounter (Takano loves Nagiri's food and constantly seeks him out to make food), we're led to believe Takano may not actually like him, just his food. You really feel the second-guessing desperation of unrequited love. The backstory with Nagiri's mom felt completely unnecessary and only added to the depressing vibes overly present in the story. This brings me to the main problem: the seme seems to be in a permanent state of melancholy when we meet him, and then, later on, it's like he only experiences happiness when he's with Takano. Don't get me wrong; I love couples who feel intensely about one another, but this is too much. I wish he would be neutral when Takano's not there, but all we get is him being extremely sad 90% of the time and extremely happy with his little time with Takano. It felt so intense that I got the feeling that he should be on antidepressants and seeing a therapist. Lastly, I wish it wasn't such a work-centric manga, but most Japanese stories are like that. As usual, everybody puts work first, regardless of how unhappy that decision makes them.

This is probably my favorite omegaverse on this platform, the seme is disrespectful just for long enough to create intrigue and spends 99% of the story being the most amazing seme one can ever expect, the uke is kind and sweet but also stands up for himself and what he believes (something he needs to do because he is an omega and nobody else is going to advocate for him).

The art is gorgeous, the story is very interesting and it has something to say about harmful work hours in Japan.
