It's about an insecure yet determined young man who chases after his first love (a man with a lot of internalized homophobia). Everything works out by the end, but it would be difficult to re-read this due to the depressing backstory and constantly disheartening moments that are present 85% of the story. However heartbreaking it can be at times, the main character does his best to find happiness and finally be at peace with himself, it is ultimately a story about hope in its purest state.
