I don’t really understand where this story is trying to go. There are so many avenues that feel held together by a hair strand. It would be better if we got to see exactly what the mc is planning, but she just says something vague and suddenly there’s a whole unveiling around events that have zero value to me as a reader, and I honestly don’t care. Like this whole thing with her wearing a disguise at school. How would that realistically work? Especially if she can’t grow the balls to say NO or avoid the fucking prince. Plus, she has so many connections to her supposedly “low-key” alternative self, anyone with an ounce of brain power and inquisitiveness would could barely scratch surface level and realize something was fishy. Like wtf is going on? And there was no explanation for WHY the prince is suddenly going out of his way to interact with her. By all means, she’s just a girl he sees occasionally who had a bit of a panic attack at meaning the crown prince. There’s literally nothing memorable about ANY of their interactions. Yet suddenly he’s putting her up in clearly uncomfortable situations. At least Ren’s curiosity made more sense! It’s been established that he’s a bit obsessed with Veronica, and can pick up on these type of things. The prince literally has no excuse other than half-assed writing.
Speaking of the prince, I wanted to brain myself when I realized THIS was going to be the ML. Are you serious?? White RICE has more personality than this clown. I honestly thought the ML would be the knight that the FL went through the trouble of acquiring, but we’ve literally seen him like TWICE since that event, like WHATS THE POINT??? The prince is SO BORING. He says one basic ass thing, and the next scene is the FL on her bed blushing like this mofo is Fabio, what the hell ever. This dude is plain, and his personality is nonexistent. Like an amoeba. I truly don’t think this story deserves the high ratings it has, just so disappointing.
