Golden Days
beautiful time-travelling historical romance. It will make you cry!!!!!!!
Yatteraneeze!
under-appreciated and good! Story of a goody-two-shoes honor student coming to terms with his sexuality and falling in love with a jaded, damaged and rebellious classmate. The love is very pure despite it all. Everything is not fine, a realistic take on young gay romance in the 90s. A lot of internalized homophobia. There is a subplot dealing with HIV/AIDs that was quite good. As an queer person and 90s child, I could appreciate what this story is trying to do.
Ano Hi No Kimi Wo Dakishimeta Nara
Canis
Review for the first couple's story only. the art is so unique and pretty! Characters are very cute. For some reason this quirky hatmaker storyline gave me echoes of Pushing Daisies. Lovely.
Neon Sign Amber
In one volume, the author skilfully shows us what her characters are all about. It's a romance you want to root for. Love with a some bumps along the way. I cried when Saya cried. Also, beautiful art!
Koi to wa Yobenai
Sweet story about a love triangle (rectangle?) between adult gay men. The emotions are so pure and it all works out in the end. The art is beautiful. The story is very slice-of-life and enjoyable to read, like an afternoon spent sipping hot chocolate with look out at the rain. When they finally have sex it's so real and good!
Raising a Bat
starts off adorable shounen-ai school romance, but ends irritatingly angsty and melodramatic tbh
