He helped with development of agriculture and technology, slowly introducing new things to learn so his dragonkin race can grow and advance. He and main have the same goal and feeling. They r demons now, but their minds were of humans from past life. So they cannot hate humans and as demons right now, they cannot hate demons. So they hope that together they can unite humans and demons together during these times of war
