The heavy emphasis by the ML on their 6 year age gap feels strange. A 26 year old being interested in a 20 year old, especially when they met in an adult setting like a workspace isn't super shocking in my opinion. Current working theory is that they met earlier in a significant encounter that changed the ML for the better, but also made him guilty due to the feelings he caught for the underage FL. Thus fleeing to America and returning after she reaches the Japanese age of majority.

The darkness of the art and lack of clear expressions was frustrating to begin with, but as the story evolved it became clear that the art had purpose and worked alongside the story. A really good manga. I read only the 1st couple, because I wasn't yet ready to move on from them. Come back to that at some point?
