I love the authenticity! The setting really does mirror a Mediterranean village, and the casual skinship and easy manner of the men also calls to mind southern Europe. The hands-off supportive friend group is great, because it brilliantly emphasised both where Teo's struggles lie and why they are in truth irrelevant.
