I love how much thought went into this! It really was two people falling in love at different speeds and learning how to be in each other's lives.
The fact that several 'loose threads' were left that way really appealed to me. We got to glimpse a hint of how things might develop, like how MC's mom gave him food when he moved out, but we never experienced that family conflict fully resolved. We are left believing that somehow, things just worked out.
