This was astonishingly good. Went over and beyond my expectations. The story works so incredibly well that I'm amazed. First of all, narrating an isekai story from the pov of the NOT isekai-d is pure genius. So many stories try to add something new but fail in the end bc they end up in clichès but this? This was amazing. Seeing Cecil's perspective through all of this was so incredibly good. Not to mention Cecil is a possessive and obsessive male lead DONE WELL. He's truly cunning and to the end (when he gain many emotions) he still things much more coldly than normal people and doesn't care for others like he does with Tia. It's so good. Plus I'm really amazed by the actual plot. The whole "emotionless prince" plot was unexpected and yet teased from the start, and it explained so many things. The other characters were so good too. The female lead didn't convince me at the start and by the end she still pales when compared to other characters I might have enjoyed, but she still holds her own beautifully. She's dumb and nice but not in the usual passive, submissive way. Rather, she's energetic and takes matters in her own hand. She's refreshing, bc she isn't the "power girl" that knows how to wield a sword but rather someone who's vivacious and kind. I think the "heroine" was also handled so well. I liked her ending, how she decided to go and try to save her bird friend. I would gladly read the adventures of Cecil and Tia's children! I usually don't like marriage and children endings, but this one I was genuinely happy to read. So good. All in all, this was a rare gem and a little masterpiece. Recommended to everyone who likes reincarnation stories.

I'm liking this more thank thought. There's a fine line between possessive male characters I like and those I don't, and I realized it's mostly about how they are viewed. The seme here is seen as a tickling bomb not only by other ppl but also by himself. He knows he's obsessive. This kind of acceptance kinda changes the perspective from "toxic trope normalized" to "interesting dark character", at least for me. Chapter 43 and I'm just... Can we have a bit of consent? Can we please have a bit of consent? Other than that, the yaoi hands are really getting out of hands. I have a feeling the proportions weren't so wack till recently
