This was such a shitty story. He walks out on her promising he’ll come back yet he never does and never sends her letters. He becomes successful yet he still doesn’t go back and guilt trips her with his sob story into wanting to marry him. He’s a total shithead and yeah he had a rough childhood but that doesn’t give him the right to be a shitty and manipulative person. Fuck him, she’s stupid for getting back with him.
