The author doesn't commit to anything in this story. Main Character's vampirism was more of a throwaway quirk than a plot device. It's only a setup for sex with zero exploration. MC could’ve just had a biting kink. The rape was a poor attempt of creating conflict. It's too out of place for the lighthearted story it tries to be. It's also forgiven too quickly for it to be consequential. The author chickened out from making the seme an antagonistic love interest, so even edgelord me is disappointed. I am just shocked at how badly written this is, even when you ignore the rape. The characters are bland and one dimensional. Apparently the seme is meant to love the occult? But that is never really shown outside his fascination in being bitten. At least make him 'research' the MC's reaction to blood. This is such a purposeless story. There is no substance. Smut wasn’t that interesting either, I literally scrolled past it, which makes me wonder why this was made. (ANSWER: money.)
