Pretty basic and stereotypical but the pretty art helped a lot and it turned out cute and amusing.

The art inside is good and it suit the type of story very much and most of all, the story is great. There's a reason why this manga spanned for three volumes. #straight seme x #gay uke. uke had ben gay from the beginning so he shamelessly pursued the seme bec he's so inlove. however seme is straight but miraculously (more like bec. of uke's tenacity) he started responding positively. #first man.

the moment i glanced at the artwork i go" "oh god, it's this mangaka. the famous yaoi hands and body!" but tbh, in compare to her other works, this stories are pure and nice. Best thing is it's always UNCENSORED. YAY. Ch. 1: Ah, young love. Uke's reactions take me back in time. being prickly to his suitor but in all honesty, he likes him too lol. in our country it's what we call "tulak ng bibig kapit ng dibdib". in-denial uke tried experimenting with a woman but seme caught him in time and "punished" him. i'm amused at the female classmates who are teasing them tho. For new readers, the art style will take getting used to but once you delve in the story, you will understand why this is a classic. #plot-heavy: Instead of a trope-y and/or kinky police plot or just dropping a gay+police together for some sexy time, we have a manga with a well-developed and properly researched (though not super accurate but the very japanese mangaka tried) story about two policemen who ended up together and just happened to be men. I like how the story is pieced like that. In every arc, we get to see their lives and how the kids grow and as case after case were properly closed, we get to see how their feelings grew. Dee, the guy who has chased his partner for years is as pitiful as he is amusing. I like how he's always creative in his rants. He kept the whole manga into a lighthearted note and I appreciate that despite the dangers and deaths surrounding them, Fake still maintained it's comedic note all throughout. That's the biggest difference it had to the heavy drama New York, New york. #adoption: Ryo took in 10-yo bikky at the start of the story. #great female character: Diana served as a cast for one of a few arcs too bad I wish she's a mainstay. but she's cool, pretty and strong. i like her. #multiple couples, het and gay. NOTE: These special chapters features the grown-up kids version. @vol 3, chap 10 and vol4, chap 12: bikky @14 and 15 yo. respectively. Just when I am expecting a drama-ish slice of life from the covers, I realized I was trolled the moment they revealed that the location of our story is the butt academy. BUTT! OMG It's been awhile since my middleschooler humor reared it's head. Mikado-sama, the Student council president is top in academics, sports and looks he knew he's perfect since birth, thank you very much. In fact, he IS God's greatest gift to man so imagine his shock when this underclassman is not interested to the great him? HIM!! IMPOSSIBLE! Seme is disgustingly funny as he is handsome. #younger bro, the sub-plot pseudo villain has a #brother complex thus kept on getting in his elder bro (seme)'s way but it's cute how he pushed the guy to confess in the end.
