Given then previous work of that J read I thought this was another cute fluffy school romance. Boy was I wrong. The MC and ML deserve all the love in world. The MC can’t help the circumstances he grew up in, the closest adult willing to take him in, prostituted him and became the MC’s pimp. Though we only see brief flashbacks of the MC’s abusive childhood, it’s enough to determine how the shitty adults around him failed him-and sadly this isn’t so far fetched because so many children go through this in real life.
