Uggggh it was getting so good! The first 6 chapters basically make up my ideal unrequited love story: step-brothers that both have feelings for each other but both think its one-sided (lawlz as if). The art is just decent and the story is pretty typical and fluffy but the sexual tension is subtle but really tugs the heart strings. AND ALL OF THAT AND FOR WHAT?! A CRAPPY HALF-ASSED NOT-REALLY-A-CONFESSION CONFESSION? UGGGHHHH IT WAS SO CLOSE TO BECOMING A FAVORITE BUT OF COURSE IT HAD TO GET RUINED. NO SCENE WHERE ONE CONFESSES TO THE OTHER AND THE OTHER IS IN COMPLETE DISBELIEF? MANGAKA SHOULD REALLY TAKE SOME NOTES FROM HEY CLASS PRESIDENT OR SOMETHING.

Pretty unsatisfied. I don't know why this is labeled as yaoi when it's clearly (but still barely) shounen ai. My rating for this would be better if there's more. 20240104 finish: DEAR GOD IS THIS ASS. spinoff is not even remotely related. Seme is unbearable and uke isn't super sympathetic either

4.5 A better story and couple than the original one. If there another trope I love in yaoi, its the stoic protective seme and the slutty neko uke. extra: I swear I love the kid. He just knows about everyone's love life and is all chill about it.
