This is actually extremely interesting. Everybody is absolutely hating how the FL will end up with the ML, but considering everybody's character I'm actually really enjoying it. Basically, OG FL was a naive woman who imitated Aisa to try and get the emperor to love her despite it purely being a marriage of convenience. The emperor disliked her groveling personality and didn't believe her to be up to the standard of an empress. Emperor mostly only liked Aisa cause she's a cunning bastard hidden behind a pretty face just like he is. He mostly just considers her useful. Now in comes FL who actually has a backbone and a personality outside being a doormat for the emperor. Emperor finds power attractive, and sees people as pawns. He finds the sudden change of personality extremely interesting, and is surprised himself how much he seems to be growing to like the FL. At first he ignored the request for divorce cause it would make him seem weak and unable to properly care for his wife, but now that he's genuinely getting interested in the FL there might be more to it. Whether I support the ML or not will fully depend on the true reason behind the OG FL's death. Did the emperor truly just leave her to die in a desolate mansion or was there more to it. Not a well written story by any means. Basic plot with a basic storyline and basic characters. A rushed story and too sudden character developments. But the small changes it's made the usual plot makes it a pretty refreshing read. 6/10 a solid guilty pleasure.
