Not a big fan of the falling-for-your-rapist trope in the first place and in this case, I really didn't like it. I feel like Shinya is just going to continue to abuse Ryuu every time he gets jealous or insecure...which is likely to be often. Not that I think Yoshita is any better, just coldly turning around and walking away while his brother rapes his classmate/crush. Altogether fucked up :/

As intense as he came on at the beginning of this, the seme settled down awfully fast. If it weren't for the rape in the beginning, I'd call this one sweet. However, I am not a big fan of handwaving away a rape. There should be SOME fallout from it. Hell, even the Finder series has a few moments of "that fucker raped me! what the fuck am I doing!". Here it is never mentioned even once after it happened. Not even in the uke's thoughts. Other than that, this was a pretty good story. I think they could have done more with it though. Like, the pro bb player is in love with the uke but that goes nowhere and what was the point in bringing in the nephew (I think it was his nephew) to be in love with the seme? That also went no where. Seme still doesn't like his job (another subplot begun but not expanded on). Lot's of dangling plot threads that are never fleshed out. I think this could have used another couple of chapters.

Not "dubious consent" it's rape. An unprovoked attack by a co-worker, they weren't even flirting or having UST or anything-at least not from the protagonist's pov.

2 very different stories. The first is a dramatic story about a boy and his step-father and their not-entirely-consensual relationship. The second is about a pair of highschool lovers reuniting after a couple of years apart. Uke is convinced seme won't want him anymore since he's grown so much in the time they were apart. Instead of a doll-like, pretty little boy, he's now a tall, strong handsome man...his boyfriend couldn't possibly still want him anymore...right? I love how that story addresses what happens after the adorable, tiny, girly-looking teen boy actually grows up into a MAN! XD
