Our dear couple Takashi (uke) and Hayate (seme) made a promise that they will date once a year on Takashi's birthday until our dear uke finds someone he likes more than Hayate. A promise that Takashi held on since high school and despite their circumstance, Takashi even fell deeper in love. Takashi thought to himself that he cannot continue with this unrequited love towards his straight friend, he lied by telling him that he already has someone he loves. Its a sad story of unrequited love having this feeling, that he needs to choose either to pursue his love, or have this kind of love be kept hidden.
I still find this story really sad, even after reading it several times already...yet I still love it... I just hope this doesn't happen to me... a re-encounter, promises, once a year and all that ~~sighs~~
