Seriously, if they put that (expletive) abusive rapist together with our main female character and ruin her relationship with Vinni just because he is obsessed with her I will be so pissed off. Our female lead is very competent and within reason has stayed true to herself. I'm glad this didn't follow the normal route of her being set up by her best friend, instead she has a real friend who cares about her wellbeing. As far as bad stories go, this is one of the better ones. Normally this would have a 1 star rating from me, but as it stands right now it is above that. The rating can change in either direction depending on how it develops from here on out.

So, a guy sexually assaults our MC, uses his position in the company to sexually harass her then when she retaliates the only way she can he further takes advantage of the fact that she can't afford the cost to clean his suit to move her to a position where he can harass her whenever he wants to. Then magically she ends up unable to live without him because of getting used to being assaulted? Now she's convinced she loves him and that everything is great? Not only that, she lies to her childhood friend and doesn't try to stop him when he starts to assault her as well. The only reason he stopped was because of her tears, not because she told him no (because she didn't even try). Then as an afterthought the author got her childhood friend together with his assistant/coworker? just to fill in the gaps and everyone gets married and lives happily ever after... Seriously, not only bad writing, pacing, and plot but I don't understand how assault can be romanticized to this extent. I know it can be something to add depth to a story, but if you're going to use it... face the repercussions of those actions. The fear of being unable to report him because he is the owners son or the real confusion that would follow what happened. Seriously, rape and sexual assault aren't ok just because the person doing it is cute or hot or was a friend. There are serious consequences, fears, and complexes that arise. Was I asking for it, what did I do to make this happen, etc. Even if they aren't right. especially her being an inexperienced virgin. ugh!
