Kami is very afraid of pushing himself forward in terms of relationships due to his past experiences and the stigma of homosexuality. But Waki, being the honest and straightforward guy that he is, attempts to break Kami's shell.
The process was painful, seeing them both in pain since Kami kept on closing himself off despite being aware of their feelings. The ending was great though, I love the character development.
