The whole thing is a mess. I was less than 10 chapters in when I couldn’t take it anymore. The FL’s motivation is simply just “I don’t wanna leave” and she elicits the help of the local fckboi who we are supposed to accept is the male lead. She goes and ruins his reputation, or what’s left of it anyway, when he refuses to help her. Lastly he doesn’t have any redeeming qualities either, he isn’t some decorated warrior or kindhearted soul. This pair is a match made in the same formula that made ketchup and popcorn a thing.
