Regrettably, I have to say this to a lot of you but the Emperor is not a “douchebag”, he was clearly blinded by “love” and refused to hear any sound reason because he loved Phelps. But we see him change after learning more of the truth, he’s powerless as an Emperor if his court is in turmoil. I admit he’s not trying enough to learn more of the Empress and she should in turn put more effort into knowing him better but let’s not forget the fact that he has her family killed in her alternate life. She’s suffered two very traumatic experiences and we can’t really fault the Empress for wanting to get rid of Phelps as quickly as possible. Please stop calling them weak

SPOILERS . . . . . . . We find out she is actually the “sacrifice” and the original story just worked out since the “sacrifice” died. The current story will develop into Nina and the King becoming endgame (sad for my boi Alex T^T but i guess it ends ok).
