After an accident, Noah awakens to find himself immortal and reviving every time he dies. Using this, he becomes a ‘bulletproof’, a hirable human shield. Personally I don’t see the chemistry between Allen and Noah, it just sorta happened outta the blue even though it’s said Allen fell in love with Noah a long time ago, I don’t think the story really explains it. Noah is so innocent and naive, it just feels like he loves Allen because he doesn’t know better and that’s the first time anyone has shown any care towards him. While I’m happy Noah finally got his happily ever after, the story falls short for me in building any depth between Allen and Noah. Backstory for Noah, real name Benjamin, after being adopted at a young age to a wealthy family, he suffered neglect as the adoption was just a publicity stunt. Demitry, a deity shows up one day and makes a deal with Noah, granting his wish to escape in exchange for all the memories he has till date while granting an immortal body. This explains why Noah has no memories of when he was younger before the age of 8 and why he cannot die. Some backstory was explored briefly about Noah’s encounter with a homeless man, Dave whom apparently was in the same orphanage as Noah when they were younger and when he died, he wished for Noah to be happy and apparently Allen is the answer. See, I don’t know how to consider it as real love when it was a contract that brought them together and Allen just seems shallow. Sure they’re sweet together, but there’s no real bond and that is the most unsatisfying thing ever.
