The story really left me very frustrated. First of all, Louis is supposed to be the leader/commander of the knights, so he supposed to be a pretty strong person right? So what is it that slowly, he starts acting more and more meek. Like wtf. This world isn’t even omegaverse, Louis was just able to get pregnant because apparently the Imperial families have the ability of impregnating someone of the same sex. I refuse to believe that someone who has the title of commander would be acting this weak. Also, the prince is just an overly pushy bastard. His love borders on the side of being obsessive and extreme. He also get petty when the Louis doesn’t follow his instructions. I really don’t like it. The Prince just gave me bad vibes from the very beginning. Like yeah it’s pretty obvious from the start that he is definitely the father of the unborn child, and he apparently has been in love with the Uke for ages, but I don’t think that really justifies for his actions and the way that he treats Louis. Maetel obviously knew that he had the upper hand because Louis needs his help, so essentially manipulating Louis to spend time with him it’s just taking advantage of the fact that he has more authority and power. Can we really romanticises and say that this is love? To me this is obsession, for something/someone that you have been wanting for a very long time. It does not justify such shitty behaviour and actions. Initially reading the summary for the plot of the story, I thought that Louis being a commander would be someone that is going to be more strong and independent. I didn’t think that over the course of the story, Louis would just be more and more portrayed to be feminine? I understand that usually in BL, there is going to be assigned roles to the two but I was hoping that this story wouldn’t be like that. I just don’t think that it’s fit the narrative that Louis was going to be so vulnerable and constantly in need of saving even though he is supposed to be a very well-trained knight that has gained himself the title of commander. Why can’t we show that he can be a strong and independent character without having to diminish his masculinity in comparison with the prince to show the dynamic of their relationship? The story naturally just puts the prince on the pedestal and boy do I hate it here. Like yeah sure they have a happy ending and they get married but I definitely did not enjoy the journey as much as a lot of people did. Sorry not sorry, this was not the power couple I was hoping for. I was rooting for you Louis! How dare you! Ugh!

Even though the plot was cute, it just wasn’t interesting enough to keep reading.
