I think the reason it’s rated so low is because the story, as it ends, is about 2 bad people getting ahead of one innocent one & the fact that it feels unfinished (so some of the ratings are probably low cos people are pissed - I am too, but I’ve got autism, so I have to rate on what I got, not what I should have gotten). But what was given was well written & the art was good, it just feels like the potential of the story was wasted a little. I’m hoping a second volume is planned, so that this story can feel like it’s been completed properly (though hope, upon seeing the low ratings, the author doesn’t think: ‘oh, it wasn’t very popular I guess I’ll move onto a new story then, instead of finishing that one, cos no one seems to like it’. Because I would like to see a better ending for the poor beta at least). ️Yuzuki has a complex about being an omega male. Psychologically speaking i think a lot of the behaviours & reactions were very true to type, I was impressed. Its not uncommon for sufferers of child abuse to feel they deserved it or question their own right to happiness or to see themselves as dirty. Its is also common for those abused to be abused again or to easily sleep with another who shows interest, hence sleeping with fiancés previous partner (which she felt screwed up her life). Then its also common for women to blame “the other woman” (or man) & because of his history he would have blamed himself too, probably thinking it was his fault for seducing him - the father probably told him it was his fault too. Then allowing her to take her anger out on him without any resistance only led to her anger & hurt to build, as he never showed any suffering for what he did. I think the growing anger, hate, having to act nice to him, the feeling trapped because she was probably too scared to raise the baby alone and the constant reminder from him being around led to her probably becoming worse then she probably was in the beginning or than she ever though she herself was capable of. If a person absorbs all anger or complaint directed at them with a smile, it often makes the other party amplify their attempts. The weird thing is that it seems that some disliked the content because it was too weird or out there, while some others disliked it because it wasnt weird or out there enough. Personally, i disliked the content as well, but i didnt mark it low because it wasnt my style - I marked it on its plot, art, character development, etc - like you should. Its a little my fault for reading it even though everything that happened was clearly covered in the summary.
